Refurbished vs Used Copiers

Usually “refurbished” just means that a used copier has been cleaned up really nice or has had some minor parts added to it. This is because refurbished copiers are usually more attractive to people and therefore belt-tighteningattract a higher price.

If someone is offering a refurbished copier, you should make sure that the vital parts have been replaced so that you know the parts that can get worn out are brand new. You should make sure that the machine has been thoroughly inspected and any problem has been taken care of. Sometimes sellers will try to use confusing language to throw you off their track but once you have asked enough questions you will be able to find enough information to make the right decision.

You should make sure to be able to get a warranty for at least 90 days so that you know that the seller is confident in the device they are selling you. Even if you have to spend a little extra for the warranty, it is well worth it.

This additional insurance should include a maintenance agreement. Parts that get worn out over time will get regular maintenance which will save you a lot of money over time.
